Crime scene investigators are probing the scene after shots were fired at a Teesside home last night.

Police were called to Riccarton Close in Roseworth, Stockton at around 8.45pm following a firearms incident.

This morning, a police presence remains at the address with crime scene investigators taking evidence photos within a cordon.

A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "At around 8.45pm on Wednesday 26 March police were called to Riccarton Close in Roseworth following reports of a window being smashed at a property.

"Officers attended and following CCTV enquiries it was established a firearm had been discharged at the address.

"A cordon is in place while detectives continue with their investigation. Anyone who has information, CCTV or mobile phone footage is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101 or visit the website.

"Information can also be provided anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."

It is understood that nobody was injured during the incident.
