Severance
Your innie would be pleased to know that Apple TV+ hit series Severance was filmed in several places throughout New Jersey, including Old Route 9W in Alpine, part of Palisades Interstate Park. If you want to take a ride south to Monmouth County, you can also visit the Bell Labs Holmdel Complex which becomes the Lumon Industries building for the show.
Travis Stever
Guitarist Travis Stever [featured in October 2024] is back with two new albums. In January, Stever's side project, L.S. Dunes, released its second album, Violet. The band will be on tour in the United States in April. On March 14, Coheed & Cambria released their 11th studio album, Vaxis – Act III: The Father of Make Believe. The band will also hit the road later this year with alternative band Taking Back Sunday.
Marky Ramone
In January, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame drummer Marky Ramone, of The Ramones, gave a live drumming demo and took part in a Q&A session in New Concepts for Living Achievement Center in Paramus as part of a charitable event to benefit New Jersey adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). The event supported New Concepts for Living (NCFL), a Paramus-based not-for-profit and leading provider of comprehensive support services for adults with I/DD.
Johnnie Izquierdo
Photographer Johnnie Izquierdo [featured in July 2022] — who covers sports in Tennessee for Getty Images — had one of his photos immortalized by trading card company Topps. "Seeing my work come to life as a trading card is a moment I’ll never forget," he says. "Capturing the spirit and energy of a college football player on the field was already an honor, but holding that card in my hands for the first time made it all so real."
Frankie Muniz
Actor turned NASCAR driver Frankie Muniz [featured in July 2018] plans to reprise the role that made him famous. Last year, it was announced that a Malcolm In the Middle reboot would be coming to Disney+ sometime in 2025 to help celebrate the 25th anniversary of the series. Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston will be back as Hal. The Emmy-winner will also take on writing duties for the new episodes, which will also feature the return of Jane Kaczmarek as Lois.
Dan Fogelman
After the massive success of This Is Us, Alpine screenwriter and director Dan Fogelman [featured in September 2018] has reteamed with Emmy-winner Sterling K. Brown for Paradise. The eight-episode drama — which streams on Hulu — follows Brown, head of security for the President (James Marsden). Things quickly take a turn for the worse when the President [Spoiler Alert] is found dead less than 10 minutes into the first episode, setting up an even bigger twist later on in the series premiere. Hulu already announced that the show will be back for a second season.
