There's absolutely no denying that one beauty product with a lasting reputation is Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Skin Protectant Cream.

Launched in 1930, it has became famed for its "versatile" formula, making it a must-have in many celebrity beauty routines. One who it is a staple for is Amanda Holden, with the Britain's Got Talent Judge saying she buys it "on repeat."

The 54 year-old shared her beauty routine and top products in Good Housekeeping in 2023, with this hydrating cream being a staple throughout her life. What's more, is that it is officially on offer on Amazon for 50 percent less.

Usually priced at £31, this award-winning beauty balm has been slashed to just £15.49. In fact, Amazon's deal is cheaper than both Boots and Lookfantastic where it is still stocked at full-price.

This multi-tasking cream can be used for virtually anything, as it hydrates, soothes and protects your skin barrier in as little as 30 seconds. The Heart FM beauty herself confirmed she uses it as a lipgloss, a moisturiser and even on her children.

While it is ideal for providing "deep moisturisation" on your skin, it does work over and beyond to provide many more benefits. This includes everything from shaping your brows, adding shine to your cheeks, soothing nail cuticles and hydrating dry skin.

As a legendary product that is loved by makeup artists, celebrities and beauty influencers, it's no wonder the Eight Hour Cream has earned a 4.5 rating based on over 11,000 Amazon reviews that praise it as a "miracle" and "worth its weight in gold."

One glowing review read: "Love this product, so many uses. Intense moisture and skin care. Miraculously heals cracked skin on lips, cuticles, elbows and feet overnight! I call it my magic cream! Essential part of my beauty kit. Highly recommended."

A second beauty fan wrote: "An essential skin treatment. Never without it. Cheaper on Amazon as I have just found out! Suits all skins. Just magical."

Someone else added: "Excellent barrier against the elements! Kept my skin hydrated through out the day and leaves it with a nice glow/ One of the best beauty products on the market in my opinion."

Another enthusiastic shopper said: "This stuff is worth its weight in gold. Expensive yes but a little bit goes a long way and it lasts forever. Can be used for everything, grazes, lip balm, sunburn, hard skin, wind burn - seriously fantastic and only use sparingly."

A few reviews haven't been overly keen on the original scent of the cream, with one three-star review reading: "The smell is very specific, perhaps the cream has excellent action, but because of the smell I can’t use it."

Another product known for being a multi-tasker is the La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5 Multi-Purpose Repairing Balm (40ml). Costing £10.90 on Lookfantastic, it has been hailed as "an all-around skin saviour for the whole family."

Alternatively, Revolution's Pro Miracle Balm has been compared to the Elizabeth Arden Cream - and it costs just £13.53. The supercharged formula can instantly hydrate and protect your skin's barrier.
