'I visited the new Celebrity Big Brother house - here's what it's really like inside'
We visited ITV's brand new Celebrity Big Brother house ahead of the launch on Monday, and the new abode has plenty of surprises in store for the A-list housemates.
As Celebrity Big Brother returns this Monday, 7 April, the famous housemates are heading into a brand new house.
We headed to the new top secret location to see where the A-list line-up - which is rumoured to include stars such as Jojo Siwa and Chesney Hawkes - will be bunking up. This year's bright house is across one floor, with housemates walking into the house to an open-plan kitchen and living area.
Two giant red sofas make up the circular living area, while a long dining table will no doubt see some heated conversations between housemates.
The extra large bedroom is filled with 11 single beds just inches apart, a far cry from the undoubtedly luxurious cribs the celeb housemates will be used to.
The room does have one double bed in the centre, with a spotlight lit star above it - signalling that this bed could be reserved for a special housemate, or part of a secret mission.
Presenters AJ Odudu and Will Best were just as excited as we were as we joined them in the house, if not more. From crawling in the bath to sprawling out on the bed, AJ didn’t hold back for her house tour as she thoroughly tested the amenities.
While Will was ever the excited fan as he joined our speculations on what the one double bed amongst a room of singles could mean, and tested out the new diary room chair.
"We are live in the Big Brother house, please, do not swear!," exclaimed AJ and Will as they welcomed us in, before Selina Mosinski - of Charity Shop Sue fame - arrived to give us the house rules.
Bigger than it looks on TV, the Diary Room chair has a new paint splattered design which spills onto the floor, and is just as comfy as it looks. Although, Big Brother did make us wait for a while before letting us in for a chat with him.
This year, the store room has had a colourful glow up - after the civilian version of the show saw Nathan and Rosie get steamy in there.
Currently, rumoured names for the iconic show include EastEnders' Patsy Palmer, Coronation Street's Jack P. Shepherd and TV host Trisha Goddard.
Also on the rumoured line up is Dance Moms star JoJo, Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke, pop star Chesney Hawkes, actress Donna Preston, Love Island star Chris Hughes, former Olympian Daley Thompson, TOWIE star, Ella Rae Wise, TV presenter Angellica Bell, Former Conservative politician Michael Fabricant and Danny Beard who is the former winner of Ru Paul's Drag Race UK.
Live Launch airs Monday at 9pm on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player.
